Nikolai Livori just replaced Knut Emlen and holds currently CEO position of the Yobetit project. Does it mean the whole new attitude and entirely new vision for Yobetit? Certainly not, but based on the latest newsletter there has been a substantial policy change regarding usefulness of shared information, with some interesting threads being revealed to the public.
One interesting part of the latest Yobetit newsletter defines what Yobetit is and is not up to and what they aim to solve and provide:
We study the market and form arbitrage combinations without you needing any other tools. We provide an alert system that studies market movements and lets the customer know when such an arbitrage is located.
Our comment: Yobetit states it will provide to their Clients an ultimate arbitrage alerting system, most likely not dependent on any other third parties.
More interestingly Yobetit also states (honestly for the first time) what is out of their goals:
Yobetit’s goal is not to work with a long list of 3rd party bookmakers just for appearance’s sake but rather gradually add bookmakers whose models fits our strategy. EU Bookmakers use strategies which do not fit our current model.
Our comment: This is a clear statement and is also something we expected. It sounded like an unreal dream – soft European bookmakers cooperating with Yobetit, exposing their weak lines and subsequently losing money making their (Yobetit’s) model work. This statement means things work as the common sense goes – there will be no collaboration at all.
Yobetit comment: The internal trading model still requires some sort of collaboration so it is not accurate to say there will be no collaboration at all. Yobetit´s future products might still benefit soft books.
Yobetit is not intended to be an auto betting tool that places a bet for you on the opposing bookmaker.
Our comment: Surebet Monitor Team, as a supplier of an arbitrage alert software themselves knows very well that developing and sustaining high level autosurf and auto-bet placement feature at a number of bookmakers is very challenging and time-consuming. Not being worth the work it needs to be implemented and sustained in time we find it reasonable not to include it in Yobetit final product.
However, in some cases Yobetit provides the deep-link for the game itself to allow you to easily create a betting slip on the respective bookmaker. Internal research has been done, and is still being done, to find an optimum solution for how Yobetit Members can interact with 3rd party bookmakers but this is not a priority over the company core.
Our comment: Deep-linking is comfortable enough for arbers and requires much less work. We find it as a right and well-balanced solution here.
Yobetit does not control 3rd party bookmakers, and sometimes the 3rd party bookmakers may have issues that temporarily affect the Yobetit product. Yobetit itself cannot unlimit you from any Bookmakers. Pinnacle Sports, for example, is a 3rd party Bookmaker and although they represent legs in some YB Trades, we cannot be responsible for their technical issues or load times.
Our comment: Of course Yobetit cannot unlimit you anywhere, hope you did not expect it to happen guys, did you? Taking into account that no EU based bookie is eager to cooperate with Yobetit one should not expect too much and the statement above is a kind of obvious one.
Yobetit comment: Yobetit not controlling 3rd party Bookmakers might be not entirely clear to some of our members who might lack precise knowledge about the sports trading world.
General Surebet Monitor Team comment
While the latest Yobetit newsletter might be considered a step back in the development of Yobetit it is exactly the opposite how we feel about it. Yobetit starts to share the reasonable expectations and plans, which together with changing their policy into more informative-friendly one might bring some good to the project and clear the air. We find also the CEO change as a constructive one and remain open for the future discussions.
